Tidal Current Generates Vigorous Whirlpools 

TOKUSHIMA – The tidal current under Onarutokyo bridge is about 20 kilometers per hour, marking it the fastest in Japan, creating many whirlpools. The diameters of the larger whirlpools here are as big as 30 meters (about 100 feet). The brown seaweed of this area is famous. It is tasty because it grows in the powerful sea current. If you like a thrilling roller-coaster experience, you can go near the giant whirlpools by boat as the left photos show.
